Two Crutches Please! Posted bykrisshetterJuly 2, 2020Posted inUncategorized View this post on Instagram Are you still in the “I can do it all by myself mode?” You know we think it’s cute and funny when a toddler acts this way but don’t ya think by about our age that’s not so cute anymore? We trick ourselves into calling that thinking “self sufficient” or “independent.” But the problem is we also have that little other thought process telling us “you’re not worthy” or “you’re insignificant.” And so the war rages on. . My dad calls faith a crutch. I say give me two please. He goes through life trying to fix everything himself. And of course when he fails at that, anxiety and depression set in. I am a “fixer.” I was bred to rely on being able to fix myself and others. And failure to do that brought me humility and a crying out to God. . Here’s the secret I discovered through His Word. I can fix myself. I can even help others fix themselves. But I can’t do that without God as my remodeling partner and His Word as my tools. This Old House has a newly refurbished interior thanks to Him. . Isn’t time to bring in a highly knowledgeable partner to your fixer upper project? . #god #godisgood #partnership #fixerupper #love #hisword #bibleverse #growth #hebrews #thisoldhouse A post shared by Kris Shetter (@krisshett) on Jun 12, 2020 at 11:15am PDT Share this:TwitterFacebookPinterestPrintLike this:Like Loading...
